The Palazzo del Podestà in Bologna Italy was the seat of government for the Bologna Commune. Built in around 1200, this magnificent old building can be found on Piazza Maggiore. The building was extended in 1245 when the adjacent Palazzo Re Enzo was built. It contains the tall bell tower that is seen in this photograph.
